Beth Crowley has been involved in formal dog training since 2004. She has a special interest in trying to understand how dogs learn and applying techniques that will enhance the relationship between the dog and his person.
Beth has trained two Newfoundlands and one Golden Retriever to compete in agility. She and her dogs have also earned titles in obedience and rally. She currently competes at the masters level with her Golden Retriever, Kane, and placed in the top 10% of her height division at the AKC Nationals in 2013. She is also training a young Golden Retriever, named Ticket, and has high hopes for his agility career. She shares her home with Kane, Ticket, and her retired newfoundland, Koda.
Beth currently is involved in teaching the classes that lay the foundation for agility coursework. She assists dog and handler teams to develop a relationship to ensure the team has the desire to work together and learn the skills needed to move forward in the sport. Beginning obstacle work and the rudiments of agility handling skills are introduced and polished in her classroom. Emphasis is placed on helping the handler understand and use the principles of positive dog training.
Beth is available for private lessons and can be reached at firstname.lastname@example.org
